History of the New Year’s Eve Ball

Every December 31st the world tunes in to watch the famous ball drop at the stroke of midnight in Times Square to roaring approval. This popular tradition dates back all the way to 1907. Today the ball is decked out with thousands of shiny crystals that light up the Manhattan sky. If you have the opportunity, don’t miss this special New York event.
